Personal Interest Litigation - III

The Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission (MRTPC) has ordered an investigation into the non-transparent way in which banks are computing interest rates on home loans and how they discriminate between new and existing customers.

Many banks are quick in raising interest rates whenever there is a slight increase in the cost of funds. But when it comes to slashing of interest rates, they wait for a considerable fall in the cost of funds before slashing interest rates by a small fraction.

Wow! I am really the wronged one!

  1. It is a common practice for the banks to resort to this sort of gimmicks. We all have been affected this way!
2.Manju, you cited sometime earlier that 'Bellari' is a tribal variant of Tulu.
Incidentally, it is found that Bellara is a type of scheduled castes enlisted in the District Gazetteer of South Kanara (1973 Ed).
Do you have any reference sources as to words/grammar in Bellari language? Could it be some form of early Tulu or transitional between a variant of early Munda and early Tulu?

I am afraid that's all I know about Bellara. It is also thought (from Ethnologue) to be a variant of Kannada. I guess that means its south Dravidian affiliations are strong.
